Defining
Our Obvious Enemies

Shortly after the incident involving a U.S. Military plane being literally knocked out of the sky and having to land in China, I posted some thoughts to a public forum. This was written long before September 11, 2001. The points made are as valid today as they were then. If we apply the warnings to our present situation in the Middle East and stepped up threats to our freedoms here at home, we can see that the Communist Chinese are every bit as threatening today as they have ever been. Do our leaders and the major media share this view? Obviously some do not, or they are willing to ignore the warnings in favor of exploiting a lucrative market for capital expansion.
Open Letter To:
Patriots and non-patriots of America -
What do we conservative patriots of America expect from the
present society of “enlightened” individuals who share America’s bounty as well
as its woes with us? I began thinking
about this question after listening to too many citizens openly criticize our
military for attempting to monitor the Communist Chinese. An alarming number of folks actually thought
we had something to apologize for in the recent incident, and felt no outrage
that our military men and women were held hostage and the plane was ransacked.
·
In a society that has so devalued human life that it can condone the brutality
of abortion against the most innocent of human life, why would we expect
outrage at the actions of butchers like the Communist Chinese against our own
young military citizens?
·
In a society that has so mandated the disarmament of private citizens against
criminal elements, both private and governmental, why would we expect suspicion
against an unscrupulous Communist regime that regularly executes its own
citizens, and concern about what might happen to our young citizens while they
are prisoners there?
·
In a demoralized society that has tried time and again to persecute those with
certain religious beliefs in the name of “freedom of religion,” why would we
expect horror at the thought of our own young citizens being under the control
of a government with an unparalleled record against human rights?
Is anyone still surprised that there are so many voices in this
country that are eager to submit a heartfelt apology to the Communist Chinese
for an incident that was in no way our fault?
America should never kowtow to Communism. Not ever – not if we want to leave our progeny the blessing of
freedoms we once enjoyed, and to a limited extent, still enjoy today.
There is no room in our
system of government for acceptance of any of the philosophies of
Communism. There can be no co-existence
of the two philosophies within the governance of our unique country. Anyone who believes differently has not
studied Communism or our own Representative, (Constitutional) Republic. Rather, they have been brainwashed to accept
the new definition of Democracy as descriptive of our form of government. Democracy, after all, is a much grander
sounding name for a government of freedom loving individuals. I will leave you to explore the
differences.
Just so there is no mistake about one thing: The Communist Chinese have not ever been,
nor or they now, nor will they ever be American Patriots’ equals – much less
our friends. They are especially
dangerous because they believe that they should have it all – capitalistic
wealth and philosophical dominance.
They cannot co-exist with a government that supports individual freedoms
and responsibilities. Ask those who
have escaped the horrors of life under Communism.
You see, my philosophies allow anyone to believe and act as they
wish within our Constitutional law.
Socialism and Communism impose a way of life on everyone, regardless of
opinion, law, morality, religion, or anything else in life that is
important. There are plenty of other
places in the world to live that support such a way of life – there is no place
else on earth that allows me, (or you), to live in the way I think we all here
would like to continue to live and leave as a legacy to our progeny.
Make no mistake – China is not through with us. The air space over our country is full of
spy planes at any given time. Our most
sensitive technology has been shared, given, sold, and lost to the Communist
Chinese. What do you think they want to
do with it?
This is meant to help wake the “sleeping giant” that I truly hope
is out there. My words were carefully
chosen to insult the mindset that seems to have taken voice in this
country. I do not blame the younger
members of the board for not understanding my motives, or my opinions for that
matter. It is not your fault. It is the fault of those in my own
generation who have allowed an insidious incremental metamorphous to take place
in our society – a metamorphous of knowledge to ignorance, work ethic to
laziness, and individualism to personal irresponsibility. We have allowed at least two generations of
morally inept citizens to inherit a country and a form of government that they
do not understand or value. We have
been unsuccessful in passing the torch of the American Culture as it was passed
to us. Instead, Americans flounder as
they search for their roots in every other culture but ours.
There is a very good book that would be an easy read and a good
crash course in why our American Culture is truly unique and remarkable. It is a good place to start because of the
many references it contains. “The
Five Thousand Year Leap”, written by Cleon Skousen, published by the
National Center For Constitutional Studies was originally published in
1981. I believe it is currently in its
sixth printing, (1996). Also, anything
you can get your hands on that was written by any of the Founding Fathers would
be well worth the time to read. The
volumes are too numerous to mention.
They knew what it would take to preserve the freedoms they were
securing. They also cautioned against
falling into a state of complacency.
Unfortunately, their words have been ignored and omitted from the
educational experiences of a shocking number of present day citizens, to be
replaced by socialistic ideas that have felled past and present societies. The proof is there if you dare to search for
it.
I do not apologize if my comments have insulted you. You would gain nothing from such an apology. Concern for feelings is not nearly as important as concern for character. Character is built with strength – not weakness. Moral fortitude and strong character are the only things that will preserve America.
That
was the post. At the time this was all
happening, many were afraid we were about to enter into a bitter confrontation
with Communist China. What happened
instead was that the incident has been all but forgotten, China has achieved
Favored Nation status in the UN, and the US has been demoted in the eyes of the
UN gods. As a side bar, we learned that
some in China were celebrating our tragedy and the death of 3,000 plus
Americans at the hands of Islamic terrorists.
If
this isn’t the face of a true enemy, I don’t know how to draw!
