Just Say No to Bad Laws

We
are a nation that is supposed to be ruled by laws – not men. Understanding the difference is crucial to
finding our way back to a Constitutional Representative Republic as we fight to
escape the jaws of tyranny. Here is the
problem that simple ignorance of our history has caused, and I’m not sure if
anything can be done to fix it.
First,
we should understand from history that no man (or woman) is capable of “ruling”
over others with complete fairness and security offered to the subjects. Given human nature, this is simply
impossible. America’s founders knew
this and opted for the only alternative – a nation ruled by laws, with the
people, through proper representation, having the deciding voice in what those
laws would be. Although the word,
“democracy” is tossed around to the people like breadcrumbs to pigeons, this,
too, was rejected as the form of government this free nation needed in favor of
the only form that would represent and protect the liberties of America.
Everyone
is wondering what can be done to fix all the things wrong with America. Change is the buzzword – but change from
what to what?
America
has already undergone significant change in her short history, but the one
change we cannot allow is that which would permanently remove the last vestiges
of our original form of government. The
assault on that form of government is happening on a large scale in every
legislature, court, and executive office in the land – from the inside out!
Resources
in the form of America’s private wealth are being used against the owners of
that wealth. Bad laws have allowed this
to happen – pure and simple. The fact
that we are mandated to pay salaries and exorbitant benefits to the politicians
that craft such laws, and that we allow these same politicians to remain in
power as our rulers for lifetime careers is an anthemia to representative
freedom. They are schemers and they are
rulers of men – they are not our representatives. The laws they craft and the “representation” they afford continue
to choke the life out of our liberties.
People
in a free country are supposed to choose representation as a temporary calling
– a brief entry in their career resumes of productive existence. More often those that decide to pursue
political careers are narcissistic, power hungry individuals who haven’t the
will or the aptitude for producing anything but misery for their fellow human
beings. Representatives indeed!
As
with everything else, there are, of course, exceptions. True statesmen still do exist and
occasionally they get elected to represent us.
To those few I say a heartfelt thank you for putting your personal life
on hold for a temporary call to service.
If ever you think your job should become permanent, then you, too, will
become part of the problem.
The
best way for the true statesmen of this country to serve as representatives of
the people is to work tirelessly to strike down bad laws. If every one of you did this, instead of
working to think up even more bad laws, we could fix all the things that are
wrong in America. This is known as
“limited government” and that is one of the planks of the conservative
philosophy.
Bad
laws go back a long time. Human nature
requires some rules, (laws), in civilized society, and everyone should
understand that. But free human beings
do not require rulers who seek more and more power over individuals and their
resources. This is tyranny and no free
state should ever condone it.
As
more and more Americans think of themselves as “citizens of the world” instead
of citizens of the greatest and most liberated country in the world, we can
expect to see this tyranny grow.
Instead of providing hope and sanctuary to escapees of horrors we can
only imagine, any American who falls for this jargon of world citizenry is
signaling capitulation to tyranny.
Think about that the next time some politician or influential member of
the media tries to make you feel all warm and fuzzy over such an utopist
worldview.
America
cannot be the leader of the free world while capitulating to world laws that
subordinate our own sovereignty. If
America is not able to protect our own sovereignty, who do you think will?
Joseph
Farrah from WorldNetDaily recently published an article that takes a good look
at the subject of preserving American sovereignty. Read it here.
He
also published a list of locations for the upcoming Tea Parties on Tax Day. This movement more than any other in recent
history is signaling American’s disgust at having our personal wealth
confiscated for ungodly government use.
My
personal opinion about the “change” that would be most beneficial to all
Americans where taxes are concerned is still embodied in the Fair Tax proposal.
The IRS, first instituted to fund the Civil War via income tax, (which
was later abolished only to be instituted permanently with the sixteenth
amendment), must be permanently abolished if we are ever to wipe out bad laws
and fix what is wrong with America.
So
many unconstitutional bad laws exist now that this is urgent work. If we are to continue to be a nation ruled
by laws and not tyrannical rulers, we must just say no to bad laws. A relatively new organization has come into
existence that is doing just that. Go
to this site and watch the “Guardians Of the Republic -
Honor Your Oath” video there. God help
us for needing organizations like the Oath Keepers!
Each
time the Constitution is ignored – no matter what avenue is used to do so –
America is one step closer to a permanent grave. The most blatant avenue is the enactment of amendments that are
never properly ratified. Two amendments
fitting this category that stand out are the aforementioned sixteenth as well
as the seventeenth, which I have written about many times. Here is an
article
published on one of my permanent links that is worthy of study.
If
you are wise enough to do this study, you will note that treaties are mentioned
– specifically one called the “Law Of the Sea Treaty” aptly called LOST. With the latest explosion of piracy off the
African coast, some are saying that international cooperation to fight this
threat can be better facilitated if we sign on to LOST. The American Spectator published an article
last year that was picked up by this site during the concerns posed by escalating oil
prices. Educating oneself to the
pitfalls of bad law can be excruciatingly tedious, but I write these articles
to inform and educate, so I make no apologies for sending you in many different
directions. LOST is one of those nice
sounding proposals spurred on by the not-so-nice United Nations – that
communist organization that wants nothing more that the bowing of America to
international law. Oliver North wrote
an excellent article warning about LOST - view
it here.
I
want to close this article with a heartfelt compliment to those wonderful Navy
SEALS who delivered the captain held hostage by pirates in last week’s
attack. If this story does not
illustrate just how important it is to maintain America’s sovereignty in the
face of international scrutiny, I don’t know what does. But keep a sharp eye on the current “rulers”
in the administration and congress. You
can believe that they are already planning how to accomplish an agenda of
subjugating America to the world community and using such events as pirates
attacking American ships to convince ignorant Americans that we cannot stand
alone.
Just
remember that America has stood alone and carried millions of liberty seeking
individuals out of the bowels of tyranny into the light of freedom. It is hard work, but somebody has to do it! Just say no to bad laws that get in the
way.
