Bully For the Bully Pulpit!
By George, By God – Go For It!

It
comes as no big surprise that the Democrats on the left, (isn’t that almost all
of them?) are perturbed today because George Bush acted presidential Monday and
did everything RIGHT! It fell his lot,
after all, to lead the country in remembrance of the anniversary of 911, and
remind us all that we are currently right smack dab in the middle of a war.
Hello-o-o-o-o-o,
remember that big hole in Manhattan where those tall towers used to stand, not
to mention the newly refurbished Pentagon and that patch of Pennsylvania field,
which is the hallowed ground of real American heroes? Remember the new residents of graveyards all over the country
where we’ve laid to rest innocent citizens and honored military war dead from
the last five years? Remember the
thousands that were intact, whole human beings five years ago, who now languish
in military hospitals, convalescent centers and their own homes with broken
bodies and wasting minds because the creeps of the world like to blow people up
for no good reason? If that isn’t war,
what do you call it?
The
fairy tales of conspiracy theorists, the wailing of contemptible cowards, and
the ignorance of the many who refuse to do their own homework have led us to
the brink of insanity as a nation. Our
enemies love it! They lap it up like
mother’s milk as they watch Americans wallow in our own divisiveness.
Monday
the president attempted to pull us all up short and force us to look at the way
things really are. The war is
real. We did not start it, but we must
finish it with victory. That would be
easier if we would all just unite long enough to get the job done.
It
occurs to me that that perhaps we need to define “the war” since Democrats have
chosen to define it differently for their own political reasons. The war has always been against terrorism
and those who hang their hatred of us on their philosophies and religion. You cannot negotiate with this enemy. They do not hate some of us less because of
our individual philosophies or religion, because they look on our whole country
as the evil enemy – just because we are here!
In
fact, those who seem to be most willing to negotiate and exhibit “sympathy and
understanding” to the enemies would be the first to suffer the most from a loss
of our victory in this war. Terrorists
DO NOT respect timidity, cowardice, or weakness. Their philosophy demands power through numbers, submission
through their twisted religion, and slavery for anything that smacks of free
thought or actions of individuals. You
are not an “innocent” unless you submit to their will – that includes anything
they want to do to you or any act they would have you do to anybody else. That is their credo to their god, their
Allah, their sick, evil spirit.
You
need only think for yourself or say what you wish to be deemed an infidel. That is your crime in their eyes!
So,
where is this war going on? Certainly
not Iraq, you say? Iraq didn’t attack
us, you say. Bush just wants Iraqi oil,
so he sends our boys to die for it? He
planned on doing it all along – after all, he had to finish what his daddy
started, you say?
Oh,
I’ve heard it all and you have too. We
are such a twisted mixed up society that we bring all our troubles on ourselves
and Bush is no better than Hitler was.
Christians are no better than the beheaders of radical Islam, and
America no better than the worst tyrannies of the rest of the globe.
Bush
spent all day on September 11th “politicizing” that awful fifth
anniversary. The nerve of him! In a full-blown pre-election season
too! The evil Republicans want power,
power, and more power. That may have
been what YOU heard.
To
that I say, Bully for the Bully Pulpit, by George, by God – go for it!
Here
is what I heard:
“Whatever mistakes have been made in Iraq, the worst mistake
would be to think that if we pulled out, the terrorists would leave us alone.
They will not leave us alone. They will follow us. The safety of America
depends on the outcome of the battle in the streets of Baghdad. Osama bin Laden
calls this fight "the Third World War" -- and he says that victory
for the terrorists in Iraq will mean America's "defeat and disgrace
forever."
No
“lie” exists in that statement, nor this one:
“On September the 11th, we learned that America must confront
threats before they reach our shores, whether those threats come from terrorist
networks or terrorist states. I'm often asked why we're in Iraq when Saddam
Hussein was not responsible for the 9/11 attacks. The answer is that the regime
of Saddam Hussein was a clear threat. My administration, the Congress, and the
United Nations saw the threat -- and after 9/11, Saddam's regime posed a risk
that the world could not afford to take.”
Another risk that we cannot afford to take is to yield
federal power in American government to those faint of heart, liberal Democrats
who have a distorted view of this war we in.
There, I’ve said it. I just
politicized the hell out of 911 and the president’s address. Sue me!
While you guys are shirking your responsibility for your own freedom and
that of future generations of Americans by staying away from the polls in
November or refusing to vote for the “lesser of the evils” I’ll be there doing
just that! There IS a lesser evil in
every election this fall. God help us
all find them and not be afraid to vote for them!
